ALL Cryptic comics are limited editions of only 3,000 copies, all with HARDSTOCK covers. ToMB Tales features 4 NEW horror stories in each issue, B+W, drawn by our starving Cryptic staff. All front and back covers are drawn by the great EC Artists of the 1950's. "ToMB TALES WILL NEVER BE REPRINTED! When the 3,000 copies are gone, then THEY'RE GONE!" With virtually NO ADS, each book is All-Entertainment.
GRAVE YARNS is different. Each issue selects one of our top artists and reprints three of his best stories from various issues of ToMB Tales, and adds a brand new story to lead it all off. Simply put, if you like the artwork on page one, then you'll like the whole book!
GRAVE YARNS #1 features a front cover by Hal Robins (the editor wanted Hal to have this comic virtually "cover-to-cover"). Starting with Grave Yarns #2 (the collected works of Dave Matsuoka), every issue will feature a new cover done by the original EC artists of the 1950's. |

More about Tomb Tales
In 1950, William Gaines changed his EC comic books from crime and romance to horror, science-fiction, crime-suspense. EC comics then became a tremendous success, hiring some of the nation's top comic book artists: Frank Frazetta, Jack Davis, Al Williamson, Graham "Ghastly" Ingles, Jack Kamen, Al Feldstein, Johnny Craig, George Evans, Reed Crandall, John Severin, Will Elder, Harvey Kurtzman, Joe Orlando, Russ Heath, Roy Krenkel, Wally Wood, and others.
Tomb Tales is an emulative reincarnation of the EC comics of the 1950's, returning to the twist endings and shock-suspense stories that fans loved so much.
